絲綢之路
絲綢之路, or the Silk Road, was an ancient network of trade routes that connected the East and West. It facilitated the exchange of goods, culture, and ideas between civilizations, including China, India, and Rome. The route was named for the lucrative trade in silk that was carried along it, but many other products, such as spices and precious metals, were also traded.
The Silk Road was not a single road but a series of interconnected paths that traversed deserts, mountains, and plains. It played a crucial role in the development of trade and cultural exchange from around the 2nd century BCE until the 14th century CE, influencing the history of many regions along its path.
