社会党
社会党 (Shakai-tō), or the Social Democratic Party of Japan, is a political party that advocates for social democracy and progressive policies. Founded in 1945, it aims to promote social justice, workers' rights, and welfare programs. The party has historically played a significant role in Japanese politics, especially during the post-war period.
The party's platform includes support for universal healthcare, education, and environmental protection. While it has faced challenges in recent years, including declining electoral support, 社会党 continues to influence discussions on social issues in Japan, contributing to the broader political landscape alongside other parties like 自由民主党 (Liberal Democratic Party).
