岩国藩
岩国藩 (Iwakuni-han) was a feudal domain in Japan during the Edo period, located in what is now Yamaguchi Prefecture. It was established in the early 17th century and governed by the Kikkawa clan. The domain was known for its strategic location along the Seto Inland Sea and its rich natural resources, including rice and timber.
The capital of 岩国藩 was the city of Iwakuni, which featured the famous Kintai Bridge, a symbol of the area. The domain played a significant role in regional politics and culture, contributing to the development of local arts and crafts during its existence until the Meiji Restoration in the late 19th century.
