台灣海峽
The 台灣海峽, or Taiwan Strait, is a body of water that separates 台灣 (Taiwan) from the 中國 (China) mainland. It is approximately 130 kilometers wide at its narrowest point and connects the 東海 (East China Sea) to the 南海 (South China Sea). The strait plays a significant role in regional shipping and trade.
The Taiwan Strait is also known for its rich marine biodiversity and is an important fishing ground. It has a complex geopolitical significance, as it is a focal point in the relationship between 台灣 and 中國, influencing both economic and military dynamics in the region.
