中秋節
中秋節, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is a traditional festival celebrated in many East Asian countries, including China, Vietnam, and Taiwan. It usually falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest. The festival symbolizes reunion and harvest, as families gather to admire the moon and enjoy seasonal foods.
One of the most popular customs during 中秋節 is eating mooncakes, which are round pastries filled with various ingredients like lotus seed paste or red bean paste. People also light lanterns and participate in moon-gazing activities, expressing their wishes for happiness and prosperity.
