چغازنبیل
چغازنبیل is an ancient ziggurat located in the Khuzestan province of Iran. Built around 1250 BCE by the Elamite king Untash-Napirisha, it served as a religious center dedicated to the god Inshushinak. The structure is notable for its impressive size and unique architectural design, featuring a series of terraces that rise in a step-like fashion.
The site was rediscovered in the 1930s and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It contains numerous artifacts and inscriptions that provide insight into the Elamite civilization.
