فردوسي
فردوسي (Ferdowsi) was a renowned Persian poet, best known for his epic poem, the Shahnameh (Book of Kings). Born around 940 CE in Tus, Iran, he dedicated over three decades to composing this monumental work, which chronicles the history and mythology of Persia from its mythical origins to the Islamic conquest.
The Shahnameh is considered one of the most important works of Persian literature and has had a profound influence on Persian culture and identity. Ferdowsi's use of Persian language helped revive and preserve it during a time when Arabic was dominant in the region. His legacy continues to be celebrated in Iran and beyond.
