عرفات
عرفات, or Mount Arafat, is a significant site located near Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It holds great importance for Muslims, especially during the annual Hajj pilgrimage. On the 9th day of the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah, pilgrims gather at Arafat to perform the ritual known as the "Standing at Arafat," which is considered a key component of Hajj.
The mountain is about 20 kilometers from Mecca and rises to approximately 70 meters. It is also known as the "Mount of Mercy" because it is believed that the Prophet Muhammad delivered his final sermon there. The day spent at Arafat is a time for reflection, prayer, and seeking forgiveness.
