روز عاشورا
روز عاشورا, or Ashura, is the tenth day of the Islamic month of Muharram. It holds significant importance for Muslims, particularly for the Shia community. This day commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, at the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE. His sacrifice is seen as a symbol of the struggle against tyranny and injustice.
In addition to its historical significance, روز عاشورا is also observed by many Muslims through fasting and prayer. Some Sunni Muslims recognize it as a day of fasting to commemorate the day when the Prophet Moses and the Israelites were saved from Pharaoh. The observance of Ashura varies among different communities, reflecting diverse cultural practices and beliefs.
