خالصہ
خالصہ is a term used in Sikhism that refers to the community of initiated Sikhs who have undergone the Amrit Sanchar ceremony. This ceremony involves taking a sacred drink called Amrit, which symbolizes commitment to the faith and adherence to the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru. Members of the خالصہ are expected to follow a strict code of conduct and uphold the values of equality, justice, and service.
The خالصہ was formally established in 1699 during the Baisakhi festival when Guru Gobind Singh Ji created the first five members known as the Panj Pyare. This event marked a significant moment in Sikh history, as it emphasized the importance of collective identity and responsibility among Sikhs. The خالصہ plays a vital role in preserving Sikh traditions and promoting the principles of Sikhism.
