تیپو سلطان
تیپو سلطان (Tipu Sultan) was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in southern India from 1782 to 1799. He was known for his strong resistance against British colonial expansion and is often referred to as the "Tiger of Mysore." His reign was marked by military innovations and efforts to modernize his kingdom, including the introduction of new technologies and administrative reforms.
Born in 1751, تیپو سلطان was the son of Hyder Ali, who was also a prominent ruler of Mysore. He played a significant role in the Anglo-Mysore Wars, fighting against the British East India Company. Despite his efforts, he was ultimately defeated and killed in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War in 1799, leading to the annexation of Mysore by the British.
