اشوک (Emperor)
اشوک (Emperor Ashoka) was an Indian emperor of the Maurya Dynasty who ruled from 268 to 232 BCE. He is best known for his role in spreading Buddhism across Asia and for his efforts to promote non-violence and tolerance after the bloody Kalinga War.
Ashoka's reign marked a significant transformation in Indian history, as he adopted policies based on Dharma, or moral law. He is also famous for his edicts, inscribed on pillars and rocks, which communicated his principles and governance to the people, emphasizing compassion and ethical conduct.
