Этеменанки
Этеменанки, also known as the "Tower of Babel," was a massive ziggurat located in ancient Babylon. It was dedicated to the god Marduk and served as a temple complex. The structure was built with a series of terraces, each smaller than the one below, creating a stepped appearance.
The ziggurat stood approximately 91 meters tall and was made of mud bricks. It was an important religious site and symbolized the city's power and architectural prowess. Although it no longer exists, its legacy continues to influence modern interpretations of ancient Mesopotamian culture.
