Скандербегу
Скандербегу, or Skanderbeg, was a 15th-century Albanian nobleman and military commander who is celebrated for his resistance against the Ottoman Empire. Born in 1405, he initially served the Ottomans but later rebelled and united various Albanian principalities to fight for independence. His leadership and strategic skills earned him a reputation as a national hero in Albania.
Skanderbeg's most notable achievement was his successful defense of Albania against numerous Ottoman invasions. He led a series of battles from 1443 until his death in 1468, becoming a symbol of freedom and national identity. His legacy continues to inspire pride among Albanians and is recognized in various cultural references.
