Skanderbeg
Skanderbeg, born Gjergj Kastrioti in 1405, was an Albanian nobleman and military commander. He is best known for leading a rebellion against the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century. Skanderbeg united various Albanian principalities and became a national hero for his efforts to defend Albania from Ottoman conquest.
