Мевляны
Мевляны, also known as Mevlevi, is a Sufi order founded in the 13th century by Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, a renowned Persian poet and mystic. The order is famous for its unique practice of whirling as a form of meditation and spiritual connection. The followers, known as dervishes, perform this dance to achieve a state of spiritual ecstasy and closeness to the divine.
The Mevlevi order emphasizes love, tolerance, and the pursuit of spiritual truth. Their teachings are rooted in the poetry of Rumi, which explores themes of love, unity, and the relationship between the human soul and God. The Mevlevi tradition continues to be celebrated in various cultural and spiritual contexts today.
