Атакама
The Атакама Desert, located in northern Chile, is one of the driest places on Earth. It spans approximately 1,000 kilometers and is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Andes Mountains to the east. The region receives very little rainfall, with some areas going years without any precipitation.
Despite its harsh conditions, the Атакама Desert is home to unique flora and fauna adapted to survive in arid environments. The desert features stunning landscapes, including salt flats, volcanic formations, and colorful rock formations, making it a popular destination for tourists and researchers interested in its geological and ecological diversity.
