Φρίντριχ Ένγκελς (Friedrich Engels) was a German philosopher, social scientist, and political theorist, born on November 28, 1820. He is best known for his collaboration with Καρλ Μαρξ (Karl Marx) in developing μαρξισμός (Marxism), a framework for understanding society, economics, and politics. Engels co-authored several important works, including the "Communist Manifesto" in 1848, which called for the working class to rise against capitalist systems.
Engels also contributed to the study of social issues, particularly in his book "The Condition of the Working Class in England," where he examined the harsh realities faced by workers during the Industrial Revolution. His ideas on class struggle and economic theory have had a lasting impact on political thought and movements around the world. Engels passed away on August 5, 1895.
