Φοινίκη
Φοινίκη, also known as Phoenicia, was an ancient civilization located in the region of modern-day Lebanon, parts of Syria, and Israel. The Phoenicians were renowned for their maritime trade, skilled shipbuilding, and the creation of one of the earliest alphabets, which greatly influenced later writing systems.
The Phoenician cities, such as Tyre, Sidon, and Byblos, were important cultural and economic centers. They established trade networks across the Mediterranean, reaching as far as Carthage in North Africa. Their contributions to trade, navigation, and the spread of culture had a lasting impact on the ancient world.
