Μανασσής
Μανασσής, or Manasseh, is a name that appears in the Bible, specifically in the Old Testament. He was one of the sons of Joseph, who was a prominent figure in the Book of Genesis. Manasseh's descendants formed one of the twelve tribes of Israel, known as the Tribe of Manasseh. This tribe was allocated land on both sides of the Jordan River after the Israelites entered the Promised Land.
The Tribe of Manasseh played a significant role in the history of Israel. They were known for their agricultural contributions and military strength. The tribe is often associated with the region of Gilead and parts of Canaan, where they settled and established their communities.
