Λέων (Lion)
Λέων (Lion) is a large, carnivorous mammal belonging to the family Felidae. Known for their majestic appearance, lions have a distinctive mane, especially the males, which can vary in color and size. They are social animals, living in groups called prides, which typically consist of related females, their cubs, and a few males.
Lions primarily inhabit grasslands and savannas in Africa and a small population exists in India. They are apex predators, hunting large herbivores like zebras and wildebeests. Lions communicate through vocalizations, body language, and scent marking, playing a crucial role in their social structure and hunting strategies.
