Đồng Khánh
Đồng Khánh is a historical figure in Vietnamese history, known for being the Emperor of the Nguyễn Dynasty from 1885 to 1889. His reign was marked by significant challenges, including foreign intervention and internal strife. Despite his short rule, he is remembered for his efforts to modernize Vietnam and strengthen its sovereignty.
Born as Nguyễn Phúc Ơn, he ascended to the throne at a young age after the abdication of his predecessor. His reign ended when he was deposed, leading to the rise of Emperor Thành Thái. Today, Đồng Khánh is often studied for his contributions to Vietnam's modernization during a tumultuous period.
