Princess Anna of Hesse was born on September 18, 1865, in Darmstadt, Germany. She was a member of the House of Hesse and the daughter of Grand Duke Louis IV of Hesse and Princess Alice of the United Kingdom. Anna was known for her artistic talents and her involvement in charitable activities. In 1884, she married Prince Friedrich of Hesse, and they had three children together. Throughout her life, Anna maintained strong connections with her extended family, including her cousins in the British royal family. She passed away on December 16, 1918, in Darmstadt.
