{Pahlavi dynasty
The Pahlavi dynasty was the ruling dynasty of Iran from 1925 until 1979. Founded by Reza Shah Pahlavi, it marked a significant shift towards modernization and secularization in the country. The dynasty aimed to transform Iran into a modern nation-state, focusing on industrialization, education, and infrastructure development.
The last ruler of the dynasty, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, faced increasing opposition due to political repression and social inequality. This discontent culminated in the Iranian Revolution of 1979, which led to the overthrow of the monarchy and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
