{Gongga Shan National Nature Reserve
Gongga Shan National Nature Reserve is located in the eastern part of the Tibetan Plateau in Sichuan Province, China. Established in 1988, it covers an area of approximately 1,500 square kilometers and is home to diverse ecosystems, ranging from subtropical forests to alpine meadows. The reserve is named after Gongga Shan, the highest peak in the eastern Tibetan Plateau, which rises to 7,556 meters.
The reserve is known for its rich biodiversity, including many endemic and endangered species such as the Giant Panda and the Snow Leopard. It also serves as an important area for scientific research and conservation efforts, aiming to protect the unique flora and fauna of the region while promoting sustainable tourism.
