George II was King of Great Britain and Ireland from 1727 until his death in 1760. He was born on October 30, 1683, in Hanover, Germany, and became the last British monarch born outside of Great Britain. His reign saw the expansion of the British Empire and significant military conflicts, including the War of the Austrian Succession and the Seven Years' War.
As a ruler, George II was known for his strong support of the British Parliament and his involvement in military affairs. He was the first British monarch to be born in Germany and was a member of the House of Hanover. His reign contributed to the development of a constitutional monarchy in Britain.
