{Camino de Santiago
The Camino de Santiago, or the Way of St. James, is a network of pilgrimage routes leading to the shrine of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Traditionally, it has been a spiritual journey for centuries, attracting pilgrims from around the world. The most popular route is the Camino Francés, which starts in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France and spans approximately 800 kilometers.
Pilgrims walk the Camino for various reasons, including spiritual reflection, adventure, and cultural exploration. Along the way, they encounter beautiful landscapes, historic towns, and welcoming albergues (hostels). The journey culminates at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, where many celebrate their accomplishment.
