tropical climates
Tropical climates are characterized by warm temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. They typically experience little temperature variation, with average monthly temperatures remaining above 18°C (64°F). These climates are found near the equator, where the sun's rays are most direct, leading to lush vegetation and diverse ecosystems.
Rainfall in tropical climates is abundant, often exceeding 2000 millimeters (79 inches) annually. There are two main types: tropical rainforest, which receives consistent rainfall, and tropical savanna, which has a distinct wet and dry season. These conditions support a wide range of wildlife and plant species, making tropical regions rich in biodiversity.
