the evening star (Venus)
The evening star, commonly known as Venus, is the second planet from the Sun in our solar system. It is often visible shortly after sunset, which is why it is called the evening star. Venus is similar in size and composition to Earth, earning it the nickname "Earth's twin."
Venus has a thick atmosphere composed mainly of carbon dioxide, with clouds of sulfuric acid, making it the hottest planet in our solar system. Its surface temperature can reach up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit (475 degrees Celsius). Despite its brightness, Venus is inhospitable to life as we know it.
