The polar bear is a large, white bear that lives in the cold Arctic regions. They are well adapted to their icy environment, with thick fur and a layer of fat that keeps them warm. These magnificent animals primarily hunt seals, which they catch by waiting near breathing holes in the ice. Polar bears are excellent swimmers and can cover long distances in the water. Sadly, their habitat is threatened by climate change, which is causing the ice to melt and making it harder for them to find food.
