osteomas
Osteomas are benign bone tumors that typically develop in the skull and facial bones. They are slow-growing and often do not cause any symptoms, making them frequently discovered incidentally during imaging studies for other reasons. Osteomas are composed of dense, compact bone and can vary in size.
While osteomas are generally harmless, they can occasionally lead to complications if they press on nearby structures, such as nerves or sinuses. Treatment is usually not necessary unless the osteoma causes discomfort or other issues, in which case surgical removal may be considered.
