mundu
A "mundu" is a traditional garment worn primarily in the southern regions of India, especially in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It is a piece of cloth, usually made of cotton, that is wrapped around the waist and tied in place. The mundu is often white or cream in color, sometimes featuring colored borders, and is commonly worn by men during daily activities and special occasions.
In addition to its use by men, women in Kerala also wear a similar garment called a "set mundu," which consists of a mundu paired with a blouse. The mundu is an important part of the cultural identity in these regions and is often associated with traditional festivals and ceremonies.
