Mugham is a traditional form of music originating from Azerbaijan. It combines vocal and instrumental elements, often featuring improvisation. This art form is usually accompanied by instruments such as the tar, kamancha, and balaban. Mugham performances often take place in social gatherings and cultural events, showcasing the rich heritage of Azerbaijani music. In 2003, it was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, highlighting its significance in the region's cultural identity.
