karácsonyfák
A karácsonyfák, or Christmas tree, is a traditional decoration used during the Christmas season. Typically an evergreen conifer, such as a fenyőfa (fir tree), it is adorned with lights, ornaments, and sometimes garlands. The practice of decorating trees dates back to the 16th century in Germany and has since spread worldwide.
In many cultures, the karácsonyfák is placed in homes and public spaces, symbolizing joy and celebration. Families often gather around the tree to exchange gifts and enjoy festive meals. The tree is usually set up in early December and remains until the New Year or the Feast of Epiphany.
