goal defence
Goal defence is a position in the sport of netball. The primary role of a goal defence is to prevent the opposing team from scoring by marking the attacking players, particularly the goal shooter and goal attack. They can also intercept passes and disrupt plays to regain possession for their team.
In addition to defensive duties, the goal defence can transition into attack by passing the ball to teammates. This position requires agility, good timing, and strong communication skills to effectively work with the goal keeper and other defenders to protect the goal area.
