The ethmoid sinus is a group of small air-filled spaces located within the ethmoid bone, which is situated between the eyes and forms part of the nasal cavity. These sinuses play a role in reducing the weight of the skull, humidifying inhaled air, and enhancing voice resonance. They are one of the four main pairs of sinuses in the human body, alongside the frontal, maxillary, and sphenoid sinuses.
The ethmoid sinuses are divided into anterior and posterior groups, with the anterior group draining into the middle meatus of the nasal cavity and the posterior group draining into the superior meatus. Inflammation or infection of these sinuses, known as ethmoid sinusitis, can lead to
