cosmic history
Cosmic history refers to the timeline of the universe from its inception to the present day. It begins with the Big Bang, approximately 13.8 billion years ago, when the universe rapidly expanded from a singular point. Over billions of years, matter coalesced to form stars, galaxies, and planets, shaping the cosmos as we know it.
Throughout cosmic history, significant events include the formation of the first stars, the creation of heavy elements through nuclear fusion, and the emergence of galaxies. Eventually, our own Solar System formed about 4.6 billion years ago, leading to the development of Earth and the conditions necessary for life.
