clouded leopards
The clouded leopard is a medium-sized wild cat found in the forests of Southeast Asia. Known for its distinctive cloud-like spots, this species has a long body, short legs, and a long tail that helps it balance while climbing trees. Clouded leopards are excellent climbers and often hunt in the trees, preying on birds, monkeys, and small deer.
These cats are primarily nocturnal and solitary, preferring to live in dense, tropical forests. Their habitat is threatened by deforestation and poaching, leading to a decline in their population. Conservation efforts are underway to protect the clouded leopard and its natural environment.
