Black bears are medium-sized mammals found primarily in North America. They have a stocky build, short legs, and a broad head. Their fur is typically black, but it can also be brown or cinnamon in some regions. Black bears are omnivorous, meaning they eat both plants and animals, including fruits, nuts, insects, and small mammals.
These bears are excellent climbers and often seek refuge in trees. They are generally solitary animals, except for mothers with cubs or during mating season. Black bears hibernate in winter, relying on fat reserves built up during the warmer months to survive until spring.
