Zunyi Conference
The Zunyi Conference was a significant meeting of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held in January 1935 during the Long March. It took place in the city of Zunyi, located in Guizhou Province. The conference aimed to address the challenges faced by the CCP, particularly the failures of military strategies and leadership under Bo Gu and Li De.
At the conference, Mao Zedong emerged as a key leader, advocating for a more flexible approach to warfare and party organization. The decisions made at the Zunyi Conference marked a turning point for the CCP, solidifying Mao's influence and setting the stage for future successes in the Chinese Civil War.
