Zoroastrian Rituals
Zoroastrian rituals are practices that honor the teachings of Zoroaster, the founder of Zoroastrianism. Central to these rituals is the worship of Ahura Mazda, the supreme god, often conducted in a fire temple where sacred fire is maintained. Rituals include prayers, offerings, and ceremonies that emphasize purity and the importance of good thoughts, words, and deeds.
One significant ritual is the Navjote, a coming-of-age ceremony for children, marking their initiation into the faith. Other rituals involve the Gahambars, seasonal festivals celebrating creation, and the Fravashi ceremony, which honors the spirits of the deceased, reflecting the Zoroastrian belief in the afterlife.
