Navjote
Navjote is a traditional Zoroastrian ceremony that marks the initiation of a child into the faith. Typically performed between the ages of seven and ten, this rite symbolizes the child's acceptance of the Zoroastrian religion and its values. During the ceremony, the child is dressed in a special white garment called a sudreh and a sacred thread known as a kusti is tied around their waist.
The Navjote ceremony is often celebrated with family and friends, featuring prayers, blessings, and a festive meal. It serves as a significant milestone in a Zoroastrian child's life, emphasizing their commitment to the teachings of Zoroaster and the importance of community and spirituality.
