Zogu
Zogu refers to King Zog I of Albania, who ruled from 1928 until 1939. Born in 1895, he initially served as the Prime Minister before declaring himself king. His reign was marked by efforts to modernize Albania and establish a national identity, but it was also characterized by political instability and economic challenges.
In 1939, Zogu fled Albania when Italy invaded the country. His departure marked the end of the monarchy in Albania, which would not be restored. After his exile, he lived in various countries, including France and Egypt, until his death in 1961.
