Ziyarid
The Ziyarid dynasty was a Persian dynasty that ruled parts of northern Iran during the 10th and 11th centuries. They were known for their contributions to Persian culture and literature, as well as their role in the Islamic Golden Age. The dynasty was founded by Ziyar ibn Qarin, who established his rule in the region of Tabaristan.
The Ziyarids were notable for their patronage of scholars and poets, which helped to foster a rich cultural environment. Their capital was located in Zanjan, and they maintained a degree of independence despite the influence of larger empires, such as the Samanids and later the Seljuks.
