Zimbabwe Defence Forces
The Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) is the military organization responsible for the defense of Zimbabwe. It consists of two main branches: the Zimbabwe National Army and the Zimbabwe Air Force. The ZDF's primary role is to protect the country's sovereignty and maintain peace and security.
Established after the country's independence in 1980, the ZDF has participated in various regional peacekeeping missions and has been involved in internal security operations. The forces are overseen by the Minister of Defence and the Commander of the Defence Forces, ensuring military operations align with national policies and objectives.
