Zhuang
The Zhuang people are an ethnic group primarily found in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. They are the largest minority group in the country, with a population of over 18 million. The Zhuang have their own language, also called Zhuang, which belongs to the Tai language family. Their culture is rich in traditions, including unique festivals, music, and dance.
Zhuang society is largely agricultural, with rice cultivation being a significant part of their economy. They are known for their colorful clothing and intricate handicrafts, such as weaving and embroidery. The Zhuang celebrate various festivals, including the Zhuang New Year, which features traditional performances and communal feasting.
