Zengwen Dam
The Zengwen Dam is a large embankment dam located in the Tainan region of Taiwan. Completed in 1976, it primarily serves to control flooding, provide irrigation, and generate hydroelectric power. The dam is built on the Zengwen River, which is one of the major rivers in the area.
With a height of 131 meters and a length of 1,200 meters, the Zengwen Dam creates a reservoir that can store significant amounts of water. This reservoir plays a crucial role in water supply for agricultural and domestic use, especially during dry seasons. The dam is also a popular spot for recreational activities like fishing and hiking.
