Zenaida Dove
The Zenaida Dove, also known as the Zenaida macroura, is a small to medium-sized bird found primarily in North America, the Caribbean, and parts of Central America. It is characterized by its soft grayish-brown plumage, a long tail, and a distinctive cooing call. These doves are often seen in urban areas, gardens, and open woodlands, where they forage for seeds and fruits.
Zenaida Doves are social birds, typically seen in pairs or small groups. They build simple nests in shrubs or trees, laying two white eggs. Their gentle demeanor and adaptability to various habitats make them a common sight, contributing to their popularity among birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
