Zélie Martin
Zélie Martin was a French lace maker born on December 23, 1803, in the town of Gournay-en-Bray. She is best known as the mother of Thérèse of Lisieux, a prominent Catholic saint. Zélie married Louis Martin in 1858, and together they had nine children, four of whom became nuns.
Zélie was deeply religious and dedicated to her family and work. She faced many challenges, including the loss of several children, but her faith remained strong. She was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in 2015, alongside her husband, recognizing their virtuous lives and contributions to the faith.
