Youth Gangs
Youth gangs are groups of young people who come together for social, recreational, or criminal purposes. These gangs often form in neighborhoods where members share similar backgrounds, experiences, or interests. They may engage in various activities, including hanging out, participating in sports, or, in some cases, committing crimes.
Gang membership can provide a sense of belonging and identity for young people, but it can also lead to negative consequences. Many youth gangs are associated with violence, drug trafficking, and other illegal activities. Communities often work to address gang issues through prevention programs and outreach efforts to help at-risk youth find positive alternatives.
